Canberra! Day Twenty

We had a play on the playground at the campground and had a look around the park next to the campground where there was a windmill and steam engine. Just before we left we got some fruit and veg's from the fruit and veg shop across the road. Then we were off on the road again! We were heading for Canberra.

We went into the National Dinosaur Museum and had a look at the amazing dino garden. It was really impressive. Sarah got some tumbled gemstones. We then were on the way again. When we arrived we took the caravan to the site where we are staying the night and set it up. Then we went to see the Parliament House! We then went and park at the Old Parliament House and walk over to the Parliament House. We had a free guided tour and saw the House of Representative and the Senate. The House of Representative was green in all different shades and the Senate was pink in all different shades these colours are the blossom and leaves of the eucalyptus. We then headed to the roof and saw the massive flag, it is 12m by 8.9metres. It looked huge! It was nearly dark and we wanted to go and see the Australia war memorial. The memorial had a beautiful dome on top. We couldn't go in because it had closed but we had a look around at the fountains. There were lots of chairs ready for maybe the royals visit or/and the ANZAC. We then headed back home to the campsite. Had dinner and finally it was bed.
